NEC Members
The National Executive Committee (NEC) is the party’s day-to-day governing body between conventions. It interprets the manifesto, directs provincial structures, and supervises elections of party officers.
Typical NEC portfolios (classic structure):
- National Chairperson / Party President
- Secretary General — administration and correspondence
- National Treasurer — membership dues and campaigns
- Publicity Secretary — press and messaging
- Organising Secretary — mobilisation and elections
- Women’s League & Youth League representatives
- Provincial representatives from Lusaka, Copperbelt, and other provinces
NEC meetings review constituency reports, candidate selection guidelines, and priority sector policies (agriculture, mines, education, health).
